Why We need Your information
We need Your personal information to perform certain basic functions necessary and typical in the regular scope of our relationship with You such as, to evaluate whether or not to hire You, to conduct any pre-employment screening, to hire You, to contact Your emergency contact if something happens to You, to calculate work hours, to distribute payments, to provide benefits to You and Your dependents, and to comply with our legal obligations.
Other information that We collect such as internet browsing history You create on Century-owned devices, video recordings, sound recordings, or any other records may also be used by Century in order to secure both tangible and intangible property belonging to Century and to ensure workplace safety and security.
For example, Century may collect images of employees for the purposes of internal identification and facility access control. Century may also elect to use internet history to determine if an employee improperly distributed any intangible property, such as trade secrets, copyright-protected materials or any valuable information typically protected by Century, as well as general productivity. This information may also be used for other employee evaluation decisions, such as determining productivity.
We may also use some information about You, including Your HR file, and evaluations filled out by Yourself or Your managers.
Furthermore, We need Your information to ensure that You can access and operate Century's systems to the extent necessary for You to perform Your job.
What information We collect.
We collect all the information that You provide us in the course of Your application for and employment. This information is supplied through Your job application, and other documents You provided to us when You started work. To help You manage Your personal information, We also provide this chart as laid out below, which outlines the categories and examples of the information that We collect from You, how We collect it, and how it is used. We do not collect biometric identifiers without Your prior written consent as required by applicable state law.

Medical and health information will be used in a limited fashion, for the purposes of drug tests, as a part of any pre-employment screening (as it pertains to cannabis testing, this is limited to work relating to construction trades and positions requiring federal background checks and only to the extent permitted by applicable law) and to respond to Your requests for accommodations, time off, or worker's compensation, as is necessary.
Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted in compliance with applicable federal and state laws. We keep the personal information You provide throughout the duration of Your employment at Century, plus an additional four (4) years, to comply with all applicable laws. In the event that You are not chosen as a Century employee, We will keep Your personal information included within Your application for a maximum of (4) years or as otherwise required by applicable law.
For data collected from residents of states with specific retention limitations, We will comply with applicable retention requirements. Certain information may be retained longer where required by applicable law.

Verification.
We cannot respond to Your request or provide You with personal information unless We can verify Your identity and Your authority to make the request and confirm that the personal information relates to You. A verifiable consumer privacy request must:
- provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify You are the person about whom We have collected personal information or an authorized representative;
- describe Your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
Authorized Agent.
You may authorize another individual or a business, called an Authorized Agent, to make requests on Your behalf. If You wish to have an Authorized Agent make a verifiable consumer request on Your behalf, they will need to provide us with sufficient written proof that You have designated them as Your Authorized Agent, and We will still require You to provide sufficient information to allow us to reasonably verify that You are the person about whom We collected personal information.
Responding to Your Request.
It is our goal to respond to Your request within forty-five (45) days of receiving that request. If We require more time or are unable to comply with Your request, We will inform You of the reason and inform You of the extension period for completion in writing. Any disclosures We provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding receipt of the verifiable consumer request. If We cannot comply with part or all of Your request, We will explain the reasons in our response.
We do not charge a fee to process or respond to Your verifiable consumer privacy request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If We determine that the request warrants a fee, We will tell You why We made that decision and provide You with a cost estimate before completing Your request.
